This presentation focuses on collaborative development methods and tools for both product and, specifically, manufacturing systems design including the extended enterprise, and leveraging on MBSE and collaborative platforms. It showcases the Excelab project results at Airbus, performed in collaboration with Dassault Aviation, Airbus Atlantic, Daher and Liebherr aerospace, featuring the integration of co-design and simulation using an Ontology-Driven Semantic Hub.

This presentation calls the A&D actors to collaborate with a unified voice on manufacturing-specific PLM/MBSE needs through the Aerospace & Defense PLM Action group, in order to drive standards and initiatives on federated and value-added platforms that allow actionable digital twins/digital threads.
