Why digital manufacturing needs to jump the gun: A Quality and QIF perspective

A/B

The digitization of the manufacturing process depends on simultaneous technological advancements across multiple disciplines.  Starting from semantic design requirements that can be consumed by manufacturing and quality, to process data that can be associated down to the specific features being impacted, and measurement results that can be tied back to the driving requirements.  It often only takes one break in the digital thread or one inadequate tool to hinder implementation.  This presentation discusses the need for smaller wins and temporary work arounds when attempting to digitize the manufacturing process.
