The Boeing Company - Vice President and Functional Chief Engineer of Production Engineering

Ben Nimmergut is the vice president and Functional Chief Engineer for Production Engineering. In this role he is responsible for independent technical oversight for safety, quality and integrity, and leads the establishment of the technical roadmap for the function. He ensures the development, application and curation of design practices while centralizing the career development system for Production Engineers across Boeing.

Previously Nimmergut was the vice president for BCA Engineering Functions which he was appointed to in November 2020.  Before that he has held positions such as the director of Manufacturing Technology Integration – Commercial with Boeing Research & Technology (BR&T), the 777 Airplane Level Integration chief engineer and the 777 Production Engineering chief engineer.

He received Master in Business Administration and Master in Engineering Management degrees from Northwestern University. Prior to starting at Boeing, Ben received a Bachelor Degree in mechanical engineering from Iowa State University. He lives in Seattle with his wife and two daughters and enjoys backpacking, video games and Lego!
